Bride and Groom’s Pre-Wedding Moment with Rescue Dog Restores Faith
Standing outside the venue where her parents were about to exchange vows, Lucy could feel the magic in the air. When she turned around, she was momentarily taken aback by the sight of the woman in the radiant white dress, until she realized it was her own mother.

Ashley Pfaff, Lucy’s mother, recounted the moment, saying, “It was like she paused and experienced this realization of ‘Oh my goodness, is that my MOM?'”
From the inception of Ashley Pfaff and Chris Decker’s wedding plans, they knew Lucy had to play a significant role in their special day. They lovingly referred to her as “the flower pup.”

“As soon as we began reciting our vows to each other, Lucy, completely unprompted, came forward and positioned herself between us at the altar,” Pfaff shared. “It was as if she understood the significance of that moment and united us all together.”
During the challenging times of the pandemic, as Pfaff and Decker tirelessly served on the front lines, Lucy provided them with love, joy, and solace amidst the uncertainties.
Pfaff expressed her gratitude, saying, “Having her be part of this special day, and witnessing her presence in my dress, is something I wouldn’t trade for anything. She is truly a once-in-a-lifetime dog.”
