Loving Man ‘Walks’ Elderly Dog With Arthritis In Cart Everyday To Ease Its Sadness

Having a pet doggo in your life definitely makes it more meaningful. Unfortunately, a dog’s lifespan is pretty short compared to ours, so we can’t expect them to be the same energetic pup after a decade. Once our pooch becomes a senior dog, we can expect them to start showing signs of aging.

As loving pet owners, we try our best to accommodate them and make their lives as hassle-free as possible. For Tonino Vitale, he noticed that his 13-years-old Labrador, Dylan, started to slow down. The old pooch wasn’t as energetic as he used to be.

Concerned for his pup, Tonino took Dylan to the vet’s for a check-up. That is when he was told that Dylan was living with arthritis. This was the reason that Dylan wasn’t moving around as much because he was experiencing pain in his joints.

Tonino worried that he would become depressed and lose his will to live and knew he had to do something to help his best friend. One day, he decided to build him a cart so that he could take him out for walks every day.

It was a fantastic idea! Out on his cart, Dylan enjoys the fresh air and sunshine. He loves looking at all the scenery that he once was able to run and play in. According to Tonino, Dylan is back to being his old happy self and looks forward to his daily walks.

Even though pushing the cart up and down uneven streets seems to be quite a workout, Tonino doesn’t mind, as the most important thing to him and his family is that Dylan is alive, happy and enjoying life.

The love and dedication Tonino shows his pup has not gone unnoticed, and one of his neighbours managed to capture a video of the sweet pair one day. The video has since gone viral, and we’re sure it will inspire more people to go the extra mile for their elderly pups.
