However, famous people from the 20th century don’t merely have kids. Now that many people have grandchildren, some of them resemble their grandparents quite a bit.Did you realize that some of the late Elizabeth Taylor’s grandchildren resemble one of the most famous actors of all time?Despite her professional success, Taylor’s personal life was frequently referred to as “scandalous.”

Elizabeth “Liz” Taylor, a well-known actress, had a remarkable career that lasted more than six decades. Despite her professional success, Taylor’s personal life was frequently referred to as “scandalous.”

She had four children: Michael Wilding Jr., Chris Wilding, Liza Todd, and Maria Burton. She was married eight times to seven different men, twice to Richard Burton. Liz was fortunate to have ten lovely grandkids and four great-grandchildren because all of her children raised their own families and went on to adulthood.

The renowned actress, however, endured a great deal of suffering in her final years. According to ABC News, she had undergone more than 30 operations and dealt with injuries, scoliosis, and skin cancer.

Taylor underwent a congestive heart failure admission at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles in 2011. On March 23, 2011, she passed away six weeks later.

Before she passed away, Taylor had the excellent opportunity to entertain her grandchildren and children in her Bel Air, Los Angeles, residence. Since there are presently 10 of them and several of them are making significant efforts to uphold Taylor’s legacy, let’s get to know each of them.

The first child of Elizabeth, Michael Wilding Jr., is the mother of Laela Wilding. She was born in 1971 and currently resides in Portland, Oregon where she works as a graphic designer and yoga instructor. In California, Laela grew up close to her grandmother. Laela Wilding spent a lot of time with her renowned grandmother because she was the only granddaughter and there weren’t many other grandchildren vying for her attention as she was growing up.

They frequently gathered on Sundays and on holidays. Laela has shared her love for her late grandmother Elizabeth in a number of interviews, like many of Elizabeth’s grandkids have done.

”She was that person who saw injustice and started talking about it and never stopped talking about it,” Laela told Today in 2021.

Laela also mentioned how her Oscar-winning grandma enjoyed doing her grandchildren’s hair cuts and was very hands-on.

“She would look at you with a sidelong glance and say, ‘Oh honey get me the scissors.’ And she would start with a little snip here a little snip there. She was very artistic. She had a great eye,” Laela recalled.

Many people have noted over the years that Laela resembles her grandmother almost exactly. She has also been referred to as the actress from the 1963 Cleopatra movie. How do you feel?

Laela Wilding’s sister Naomi deLuce Wilding, who was born in 1976, is five years younger. Naomi currently works at the Wilding Cran Gallery in Los Angeles, which she and her husband, Anthony Gran, launched in 2014. Naomi collaborates extensively with the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation, just like her older sister.

“She had an idea that she was responsible for raising the younger generations in the family, you know,” Naomi said about her grandmother. “It was important to her that she instilled those values in us, too.”

Even though she didn’t experience Taylor as an actress, she always looked up to her grandmother.

”I remember sitting on the floor of her dressing room and just watching her get ready — just [watching] this sort of transformation unfold. Just because somebody is a superstar doesn’t also mean that they can’t be a loving, squishy, delicious grandma who was always welcoming us in,” Naomi told Today.

Caleb Wilding, Elizabeth Taylor’s third grandchild and first grandson, was born in 1983. After numerous unsuccessful pregnancies, Caleb was adopted by Christopher Wilding and Aileen Getty.

The little that is known about Caleb indicates that he enjoys his life away from the spotlight and that he is a motorbike enthusiast. The second grandson of Elizabeth Taylor was born in 1984 and is named Andrew Wilding. In contrast to his brother Caleb, Andrew chose to follow his grandmother’s example and work in the entertainment sector. He has participated in various plays as an actor.

Although Andrew is most recognized for his work as a cinematographer and producer, he has frequently decided to work from behind the camera. In the United States, Tarquin Wilding was born in Los Angeles in 1989. He is the eighth of Taylor’s grandchildren and the half-brother of Laela and Naomi.

Tarquin made the decision to pursue an acting career after being inspired by his well-known grandmother. His roles in Silent But Deadly (2012), Shameless (2011), and In Between (2009) have garnered him the most notoriety. Tarquin describes himself as an aspiring filmmaker who enjoys motorcycles and dogs. He participates with the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation, just like many of Taylor’s grandkids.

”My grandmother was a total badass! I can’t help but be inspired by her unbreakable courage, and boundless generosity. I want to continue her legacy, and be a part of the fight towards securing a better future for those living with HIV/ AIDS, and to one day see an AIDS free generation!”

Christopher Wilding and Margaret Carlton’s second child, Lowell Wilding, was born in 1991. By working on the Elizabeth Taylor Archive, Lowell is currently preserving his grandmother’s legacy.

He also represents her AIDS fund as an ambassador.

“I was always in total awe of the good my grandmother was able to accomplish in her lifetime. She could so easily have done nothing, like so many others. Instead she fought, she cared, and she worked for people suffering with HIV/AIDS. I hope to do whatever I can to preserve and continue that legacy,” he said.

Liza Todd, Elizabeth Taylor’s third child, and Hap Tivey are the parents of Quinn Tivey. Contrary to his grandmother, who was born in 1986, he did not grow up on the west coast.

In Hudson Valley, New York, Quinn worked as a server and busboy at a steakhouse named The Quarry. Later, he attended the University of Southern California to study film, and he also has an MFA from the School of Visual Arts. He chose not to omit his grandmother’s name from his USC application, according to NY Post.

Later, he would serve as an assistant in the Ben Affleck-starring movie The Company Men from 2010 onward. Quinn turned out to be an artist as she grew older. As a child, he remembered admiring his cherished grandmother.

”I always knew her as grandma, but in her real life, she was still larger than life,” he said in 2019, according to The Morning Show. ”She was an amazing matriarch.”

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he spoke highly about his beloved grandmother as just a grandmother, not the legendary actress Elizabeth Taylor.

“We would lay in bed together, watching movies, chatting — she would give me advice. Those are some of the ways I remember her most,” Quinn said.

Quinn’s life was significantly dissimilar from that of his grandmother, Elizabeth Taylor. But they undoubtedly had one thing in common. They appear. The grandson and grandmother’s similarity is really obvious! The ninth grandchild of Taylor is Rhys Tivey.

He was born in 1991, and he and his parents, Happy Tivey and Liza Todd, lived in a rural area of upstate New York as children. He currently performs as a trumpeter, singer, and songwriter. Of course, Rhys represents the AIDS foundation that his grandmother founded.

”Without concern for color, culture, or class, my grandmother would acknowledge the soul of every person she met and treat them with great respect. And yet she was never afraid to call out BS if she picked up on it. To reach the level of power and success she did and maintain a genuine concern for others’ wellbeing is truly admirable, and her legacy in the fight against HIV/AIDS embodies that humanitarian passion. Every day, I am inspired by the encouragement she gave me and so many other people,” Rhys says.

Although Elizabeth Carson wasn’t Elizabeth Taylor’s actual grandchild, her grandmother nevertheless adored her dearly. She was named after her grandma when she was born in 1982. Maria Burton, Taylor’s adoptive daughter, is the mother of Elizabeth Carson. She has fond memories of the glitzy Hollywood legend who also happens to be her name.

”For my junior and senior prom, she did my hair and makeup,” she told Town & Country. “Once, while we were discussing makeup, I told her we should go to Sephora, which turned out to be a terrible idea. We had fun for the first 15 minutes, but then she was recognized, and we quickly had to be escorted out.”

Carson is an ambassador for the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation and a social worker in New York today.

“I work for the Department of Child Protection in New York City, and, I have to say, whenever I hear of a baby born from an HIV+ mother test negative because of advancements in medication and prevention, I am literally brought to tears. I often say a silent thanks to my grandmother because if not for her and other advocates with her shared passion, this may not have been the case today.”

The youngest and last of Taylor’s grandchildren, Richard McKeown is Maria Burton’s son. There isn’t much information available on him, but it appears that his mother’s filing for a restraining order against Richard’s father during his early years caused him some serious anxiety.
