People Are Wearing These Strange Shoes And Nobody Knows Why

I think that all of us have suffered the pain of having a stubbed toe. It’s just one of those things that we would like to avoid but it is an inevitable part of life.

Most of us have to deal with this problem, despite the fact that we have our vision. Imagine how difficult it would be if you couldn’t see and you had to navigate the world around you.

Those who are visually impaired may use canes or other items to help avoid bumping into things as they are walking along. They may even have a dog that is their constant companion.

Those same people now have an option that is technologically advanced and it is sure to help many people who are visually impaired.

What if you wore shoes that let you know if you are about to run into an obstacle, such as a curb or perhaps a piece of furniture? It is similar to a sensor on a car that alerts you when you are about to hit something while backing up.

Thanks to an Australian company, Tec-Innovation, that is now a reality. They created shoes with a built-in sensor that will either vibrate or give off a sound when people are about to run into an obstacle. They are known as InnoMake and they are able to detect an obstacle as much as 4 m away.

There are slots on the shoes and the sensor fits into them. The rechargeable battery will last a week and when it needs to be recharged, you will have to put it on the charger for about three hours.

You don’t need a smartphone to use it but there is an app included for free when you buy the sensors. You can make changes to how they operate, such as adjusting how you are alerted or the minimum distance.

There are also other features offered by the sensor, such as being water resistant or certain intelligent modes that can assist even further.
