Although it hasn’t been announced, a new rumour claims that Blumhouse is already hard at work on a ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s 2’ movie with Emma Tammi.

Blumhouse’s Five Nights at Freddy’s movie has performed better at the box office than any of their past moves, as well as becoming the highest-grossing horror movie of the year – it’s also Blumhouse’s highest box office earner to date.
The studio is known for green-lighting sequels to projects that perform well, such as their 2022 box office success M3GAN which will be getting its sequel in early 2025 – however, a sequel to their live-action Five Nights at Freddy’s adaptation has yet to be announced.

Despite Blumhouse yet announcing its sequel, rumours online have already begun to surface with claims that the sequel is already in development with director Emma Tammi set to return.

Something Blumhouse is famous for doing, other than making box office smashers, is getting movies into development quickly and producing them at efficient speeds – making the FNAF 2 movie likely to be in development as of writing this article.
Something that has been claimed to be true over at The Hollywood Handle, who say they have received an inside tip that the sequel is currently in development with the first instalment’s director (Tammi) attached and set to return.
Although this news shouldn’t be surprising due to the first film’s success and due to the fact that Tammi herself has spoken about what a potential sequel could look like, it technically hasn’t been confirmed yet as Blumhouse are known for keeping their movie secrets close to their chests.

Blumhouse boss Jason Blum is known for dropping big news on his social media accounts, typically followed by the studio’s main social accounts then posting confirmations alongside him – all in the name of hyping up their fans, which works 100% of the time.
It’s safe to say that the horror movie-making machine has figured out the secret formula to making, hyping up, and earning from their many successful hits at the genre and at the worldwide box office.

It’s been said various times now by the first instalment’s team that the second movie will most likely be adapting the storyline from the second Five Nights at Freddy’s video game.
It’s potential that the sequel will take audiences to the sinister Sister Location, as well as introduce new animatronics to moviegoers that its gaming community of loyal fans will be more than familiar with.
Such as The Puppet, a character that has been highly speculated to have been teased to make a debut in the second movie – teases for this character were made several times throughout Blumhouse’s first Five Nights at Freddy’s.
