‘Uncharted 2’ Starring Tom Holland In Development, Script Is Ready
Mark Wahlberg has confirmed that the script for the ‘Uncharted 2’ movie, starring Tom Holland, is ready to go.
Mark Wahlberg has officially provided an update on the status of the live-action Uncharted movie sequel, in which he starred as Victor Sullivan aka Sully alongside Spider-Man: No Way Home star Tom Holland who plays Nathan Drake.
The movie itself, as many fans of the franchise will know, is a direct adaptation of the original PlayStation video game series of the same name.
Wahlberg and Holland’s first Uncharted movie debuted on screens back in 2022, however, since then a sequel has yet to technically be confirmed – just heavily implied by both producer Charles Roven and now more recently Wahlberg himself.

“We had a really good time with that movie, the fans really liked the movie, and people who didn’t know anything about the game really liked the movie. So we are definitely looking to make another one of those.”

He also confirmed that its script has now been written but that he is aware of different directions that the studio is currently deciding which way to take the story in.
Walhberg confirmed that Sully’s mustache, seen during the post-credits scene of the first instalment, will also be making a comeback to the franchise.
“I spent quite a bit of time growing it because, at one point, we tried to do it with a fake mustache, and, I don’t know,” he told The Direct.
He added: “I just don’t have the confidence to pull it off. It just feels like there’s a big piece of tape over my mouth, and I feel ridiculous.”

He continued: “I admire actors who can wear wigs and prosthetics and makeup and all that stuff. I’ve successfully worn one prosthetic, but that was long ago…”
However, Wahlberg says he’ll still bring it back regardless.
“When I finally got the mustache, people really appreciated it. And it was a nice tag to the end of that film. So if we can make it better than the first, you know, I’d be open to it, but I only know as much as you do right now.”
