Jackie Chan’s Daughter Seen Living Under A Bridge

We often look at celebrities and feel that they have a life that is untouchable. We recognize there may be a lot of stress associated with being in the public eye, but they often have wealth and possessions that many people would love to have.

This includes one actor, who is loved by millions of people around the world, Jackie Chan. He has starred in some of the more humorous movies over the years and his abilities allowed him to do things that other movie stars could not do.

There is also something that many people don’t know about Jackie Chan, and that is his turbulent love life. In 1982, he married a Taiwanese actress but he continued to have an affair in the background with a beauty queen.

When the couple welcomed a child to the world on December 3, 1982, that wasn’t the only news that broke about the family that year. There was also news about the affair, and by 1999, that affair produced a daughter.

Chan found it difficult to share the news of his infidelity with his family, and when the news about the affair broke, there was a media frenzy that he described as a bomb going off. Although he wanted to call his wife, he didn’t know how to explain it and he said it wasn’t a mistake you could fix by simply saying he was sorry.

Suddenly, Chan found himself in the hot seat and it seemed as if he was going to be getting a divorce. His wife, however, had a better reaction than he could have anticipated.

She said: “I don’t want you to hurt her, and I don’t want her to hurt us. If you need me or our son to show up and stand by your side, we’ll do that. I know you must be feeling awful now. Don’t worry about me, I’m fine. You go deal with this.”

This left Chan devastated, saying how much he regretted shutting out his wife after she had been honest with him for so many years. He realized that he had disappointed her and he wanted to make things right.

He eventually called for a meeting of the family that included his wife and their son and he apologized for what he had done. He then revealed to the press that his wife had forgiven him and his son understood.

He also said that he would take responsibility for the child if it turned out to be his.

Revelations continued from the actor, one of which is when he said that he was forced to marry his wife after she got pregnant. He had never wanted to get married and the conception was an accident.

He also said it was difficult to be a ladies’ man and yet to tie the knot with someone, which he did at a coffee shop in Los Angeles. Despite the unfaithfulness, which appears to have continued, they remained together for four decades.

He also admitted that he was an advocate for strong physical disciplining of the children, which he did to his son when he was younger. He said that he threw his son on the couch at one point and then felt bad because he had frightened him and his mother.

This leads us to the girl who was conceived in his illicit affair with the beauty queen. Her name is Etta Ng Chok Lam. Despite the determination he had to support her, he didn’t.

At the same time, she made it clear that she didn’t want anything to do with them and things did not turn out well for her. They were struggling financially, despite having a wealthy father.

At one point, they were homeless and had to live under a bridge. A video was shared on YouTube in an effort to get help because they were having a difficult time surviving.

They claimed that they were disowned by the family because of homophobia and they didn’t want to live in a homeless shelter because they were afraid they would be separated.

After trying everything she could, the 23-year-old daughter of Jackie Chan said she decided to record the video as a last resort. Eventually, the mother saw the video and condemned them for what they did.

She said: “I feel that if they have no money, they should go find work. They shouldn’t film a clip telling others they are broke and who Etta’s father is. People all over the world work hard and don’t rely on someone else’s fame to get money.”

The strained relationship that she had with her mother was now at the breaking point. She had come to her rescue in the past but this time she was refusing to do so.

Her mother even went so far as to publicly say that her daughter suffered from emotional issues and admitted that she had seen a medical professional before leaving Hong Kong. Since that time, she has not been to therapy.

She also said that her partner was a bad influence on her and questioned how she could allow her daughter to film the video.

You never know what is going on in the life of others and sometimes, it is just a matter of giving someone the benefit of the doubt. It seems as if this family certainly has their difficulties, but we hope that they are able to come to an amicable conclusion.
