Brad Pitt, 60, Embraces Gen Z Trends in Crocs and a Bucket Hat: See His Latest Fashion Flex
Brad Pitt just loves to keep us guessing. With his fashion choices, that is.
The style chameleon, who turned 60 in December, has long been known for his California-cool aesthetic, but lately, he’s been settling into some looks that are decidedly different. They’re not bad! They’re just different!
Take Pitt’s latest foray into trendy footwear. The actor stepped out in Florida in a monochromatic outfit that was made complete with a pair of white Crocs. You know, the shoes that are currently well-loved by Gen Z. The shoes that were so made fun of when they were first released over 20 years ago that no one cool wanted to wear them? Yeah, those shoes. (We are well aware that Crocs have always been comfortable and popular. We are also well aware that they are they have a storied history of people hating on them! We love Crocs.)

The Babylon star wore his comfy shoes with an even comfier outfit: a matching fuzzy sweat set in an off-white shade and a padded bucket hat (another trendy piece!) in the same hue. Pitt may have just turned 60 but he is seemingly doing everything he can to stay hip to the times. It’s not the style of his younger years, but we all evolve as we age.
Just take a look at the bold shirt he wore to celebrate his birthday alongside girlfriend Ines de Ramon late last year. Now this was a statement piece if we ever saw one. The black and gold shirt looked to be a custom piece from God’s True Cashmere, the brand that Pitt is a cofounder of. The luxury brand has a limited collection with artist Thomas Houseago (who was also spotted at Pitt’s Los Angeles party), that includes painted shirts similar to the one Pitt wore. While the actor’s exact number wasn’t available online for sale at the time, similar ones are retailing for $6K, and we think it could be possible the brand and the artist made a special piece for Pitt for his big day.
Listen, who doesn’t want all eyes on them for their birthday? Especially for such a milestone year? Snaps for you, Brad.

Everything Pitt has been doing with his style makes sense when you understand the actor’s ethos when it comes to fashion.
“We’re all going to die, so let’s mess it up,” he told Variety’s Marc Malkin after he chose to wear a skirt to the Bullet Train premiere in 2022. He wore a brown skirt with a matching jacket and a complementary salmon pink button-down shirt for the red carpet event.
But Pitt wasn’t’ trying to be revolutionary with his skirt choice. He was on his skirt game years before that.

According to British Vogue, Pitt anticipated that men would add skirts to their wardrobe as far back as 2004 while promoting his movie Troy.
“Men will be wearing skirts by next summer,” Pitt said at the time, per the outlet. “That’s my prediction and proclamation. The film answers to both genders. We were going for realism and Greeks wore skirts all the time then.”
The Academy Award-winning actor was also photographed by famed portrait photographer Mark Seliger in a variety of dresses while appearing on the cover of Rolling Stone in 1999.
Always keep them guessing.
