While she confided in a small group of people before going public, she decided to keep some of her closest friends in the dark to avoid any leaks. This revelation shocked her friend, as reported by PEOPLE Magazine.
On March 22, Kate appeared in a video to confirm that her recent absence from the public eye was due to her battle with cancer. The mom-of-three underwent abdominal surgery in January, and it was during the post-operative tests that the cancer was discovered.
The announcement sent shockwaves around the world, especially since King Charles is also fighting the same disease. Prior to her brave video message, there had been intense speculation about Kate’s well-being and whereabouts. She explained in the video, “In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London.
